SPECIAL MENTIONS

Germany and Estonia

These two Postal Administrations are running the serie Lighthouses for several years now. Maybe a sense of continuity and familiarity with the design of the stamps affects the way that we appreciate (or not appreciate) these issues year after year.

But the truth is that they are wonderful stamps, more when you look at them together.  This 2012 Special Mention, is for Deutsche Post and Eesti Post because they bring us two fantastic groups of Lighthouse Stamps.

GERMANY   -  Since  2004
Design: Prof. Johannes Graf, Dortmund

ESTONIA - Since 1995
Design: Roman Matkiewicz

Thanks for your opinions and contacts.   Until 2013, and...

¡ FELIZ AÑO NUEVO !

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

Welcome 2013

Hello:

Little activity in these last two months of 2012.  Zero releases in November, and apparently very little chances of new issues in December (only India and some other surprise from another country can reverse this).

So, it is time to look at the near future.  This week I will post issues confirmed for 2013. And the next weeks I will post issues "under watch".  Stamps with posibilities of lighthouse presence.

Also, on December 30, the best lighthouse issue from 2012 will be decided.  I already have some votes, and they went to these issues

-Minor Lighthouses of Isle of Man
-Croatia
-Cape Reinga - New Zealand Definitive Stamp
-Norway
-Suriname

Do you have a favorite from this list or not listed here?  Send me your opinion to my mail or make a  comment in this post.

We keep in touch
Carlos.
